Improve your prompt: rewrite rough requests in one click with NjectAI
Improve your prompt is the NjectAI button that rewrites what you typed into a clearer, fuller prompt, using your active context profile and your memory. It sits in the pill inside the message box of every AI tool the NjectAI Chrome extension supports. The improved prompt replaces your draft, and you send it yourself.
How do I improve a prompt with NjectAI?
Type your request in the message box of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok or another supported tool, then click Improve your prompt in the NjectAI pill. NjectAI rewrites your draft with the context from your active profile and puts the new prompt in the box in place of yours. Read it, change anything you like, and send it as usual.
- Open a chat in a supported AI tool and type your request. Write at least 3 characters.
- Find the NjectAI pill in the message box. It appears once the box holds text.
- Click the first zone of the pill. Its tooltip reads "Improve your prompt".
- Wait a moment. The improved prompt replaces your text in the box.
- Edit it if you want, then send it with Enter or the send button.
A rough request is enough. Write it the way you would say it out loud:
write a launch email for our new booking feature, keep it short
Inside the extension, NjectAI is called Nject, so menus and windows show that name.
What does NjectAI use to rewrite my prompt?
NjectAI sends your draft, the site you are on, your active profile and the id of the chat to the NjectAI server. The server gathers context around the draft before an AI model rewrites it. It reads your profile, your memory and the AI's recent answers in the chat you are in, so the improved prompt fits you and the conversation.

Who sends the improved prompt?
You do. NjectAI never sends a message for you. The improved prompt waits in the message box, where you can read it, edit it or delete it before anything reaches the AI.
After a rewrite, the first zone of the pill reads Replay enhancement. Click it to rewrite the prompt once more. As soon as you edit the text yourself, the zone goes back to Improve your prompt.
Improving a prompt saves nothing to your memory by itself. The message you then send is saved like any other message you send while signed in, as memory explains. There is no keyboard shortcut for Improve your prompt: use the pill.
How long can my prompt be?
Improve your prompt works on drafts of 3 to 1,000 characters. Spaces at the start and the end do not count toward the minimum. Outside that range, NjectAI shows a small window instead of rewriting, and Got it closes it.

Where does Improve your prompt work?
Improve your prompt works in every AI tool NjectAI supports: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Perplexity, Grok and Grok on X. In Claude it works in chats, projects, Cowork and Claude Code. In Google it works in AI Mode only, never on ordinary search results. On X it works in Grok only, never in the feed.

What do I need to use it?
You need three things: to be signed in to NjectAI, at least one context profile, and Nject Pro, the NjectAI plan. When one of them is missing, the click opens a window that shows the next step instead of rewriting.

What if nothing happens when I click?
If the spinner stops and your text stays the same, the rewrite did not come back. When the server answers with an empty rewrite, NjectAI shows "Please try again or contact support." for a few seconds. Other failures, such as a lost connection, a slow server or too many requests, end with no message at all. Wait a moment and click again.
- You hit the limit. Each account can run a set number of rewrites per minute, per hour and per day. Wait, then try again.
- NjectAI was just updated. Reload the tab. A notice reads "Nject was updated - reload this tab to keep using it".
- Still stuck. Work through troubleshooting, or write to [email protected].
