Use NjectAI in Claude: chats, projects, Cowork and Claude Code

NjectAI (also called Nject) works inside Claude on claude.ai, in new chats, existing chats, projects, Cowork and Claude Code sessions. It adds Improve your prompt and Context Inject to the message box, suggests text with Autocomplete, and saves your messages and Claude's answers to the memory you share with every other supported AI tool.

What does NjectAI do in Claude?

In Claude, NjectAI adds a small pill to the message box once you start typing and Claude's send button is showing. Improve your prompt rewrites your draft into a fuller, clearer prompt, and Context Inject adds your saved context to the message you send. Autocomplete offers the rest of your sentence in grey as you type, and the Tab key accepts it.

When you are signed in and open a chat this browser has not seen before, a profile bar asks "Which profile you are using this time?", so you can choose a profile and inject it first. While you are signed in and Nject is switched on, your messages and Claude's finished answers are saved to your NjectAI memory, the same memory ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Grok use. Every feature of the extension works in Claude, Claude Code on the web included.

Which Claude pages does NjectAI run on?

NjectAI runs on the claude.ai pages where you write to Claude: a new chat, your existing chats, a project's page, Cowork, and Claude Code on the web, both its home screen and each session. Pages without a message box, such as settings and your list of chats, are left alone. Under claude.ai/code only the home screen and the sessions count, so other Claude Code pages stay off, such as an artifact viewer or the page Claude shows when Claude Code is unavailable to an account.

NjectAI is a Chrome extension, so it works on claude.ai in your browser. The Claude desktop and phone apps, and Claude Code in a terminal, are outside the browser, and NjectAI does not run there.

How do I give Claude context about my business?

Save your business details once in a NjectAI context profile, then add them to a Claude message with Context Inject. Click the syringe in the pill, or Inject in the profile bar, and NjectAI shows "Context added. Sends with your next message." Your message box does not change while you write. When you press Enter or the send button, NjectAI adds your saved context after your message, with a blank line between them, so Claude gets both and the context shows in the chat.

The context comes from your selected profile and your NjectAI memory, chosen with the first 1,000 characters of your message. Click the syringe a second time to take it back ("Context cleared."). Switching to another chat before you send drops it too. More in Context Inject.

  1. Create a context profile with your field, your role, your goal and, if you like, your company and its website.
  2. Open a new chat in Claude. In the bar that asks "Which profile you are using this time?", pick the profile and click Inject. If the bar has gone, type your message first and click Context Inject in the pill.
  3. Write your message, in a chat, a project or a Claude Code session.
  4. Send it. Your context goes out after your message.

How do I improve my prompts in Claude?

Write a rough request in Claude's message box and click Improve your prompt, the first button in the NjectAI pill. NjectAI sends your draft and your selected profile to its backend and puts a fuller, clearer prompt in the box, in place of your text. Claude sees nothing until you send it, so you can read the new prompt, change any part of it and then send.

The button then reads "Replay enhancement" and writes a fresh version each time you click it, until you edit the text. Your draft needs at least 3 characters and can be up to 1,000 characters long. Improve your prompt works from a profile, so it offers to create your first one if you have none. More in Improve your prompt.

  1. Click in Claude's message box and write what you want in your own words.
  2. Click Improve your prompt in the pill.
  3. Read the new prompt and edit it if you like.
  4. Send it.

Does NjectAI work in Claude Code?

Yes, in Claude Code on the web at claude.ai/code. NjectAI runs on the Claude Code home screen, where you start a task, and in each session. The pill, Context Inject, Autocomplete and the profile bar work in the session's message box as they do in a chat. Context Inject can hand Claude Code your saved background, such as your field, your role and your goal, along with the task you write.

The answers Claude Code writes are saved to your NjectAI memory like chat answers. Other pages under claude.ai/code stay off. Claude Code in a terminal and in the desktop app runs outside the browser, so NjectAI does not reach it.

Does NjectAI save my Claude chats?

Yes. While you are signed in and Nject is switched on, NjectAI saves each message you send in Claude and each answer Claude finishes while the page is open, in Claude chats and in Claude Code sessions. Each answer is saved with its chat and, when Claude's model picker shows one, the name of the model chosen there. Messages that were already on the screen from before are left alone.

Everything goes to the personal memory of your NjectAI account, the one NjectAI draws on whichever profile you pick. Saving runs with or without Nject Pro, and it has no switch of its own. Switch Nject off in the toolbar menu, or sign out, to stop it. See NjectAI memory for what it saves and how NjectAI uses it.
